F A Q

How do I take the prints?

If you live locally to Noosaville, then you can come along to the shop where we will take the prints for you and you can also view a selection of our products. Alternatively, we can send you out an impression kit with full instructions. You can easily take the prints yourselves and post them back to us.

How long do you keep the prints?

We keep your prints for one year. If you wish to order again within this time, we can use the prints we already have.

Can I host a LittlePrints party?

Yes of course! If you would like to host a LittlePrints party and you live on the Sunshine Coast, then please send us an email, or give us a call. The distance we travel depends on the amount to be ordered. We ask that there be a minimum of four people, ordering at least one piece each. We will come along show you our sample collection to help you decide before taking the prints.

What if I don’t take the prints properly?

Upon receipt of your prints we carefully check them to ensure they have been taken properly. If we do not think that the prints are useable then we will contact you and arrange to send out another impression kit. We are happy to take any prints if you are able to come along to our shop.

Are the prints really those of my child?

Yes, the prints used are your child’s unique hand print, foot print or fingerprint, which undergo a process and the impressions stamped into solid silver.

How long does it take?

Your finished jewellery will be ready for dispatch or collection within four weeks of receipt of the prints. If you require your jewellery to be completed before this time then please contact us to let us know your requirements.

What happens once I have placed my order online?

Once we have received your order, we will dispatch to you an impression kit with full instructions and summary of your order within 48 hours.

Is there a maximum age for fingerprints?

No, there is no age limit to fingerprint jewellery. We can take adult fingerprints as well as children’s, although the small heart and square charms may be too small to accommodate an adult’s fingerprint.

Will I be able to see the fingerprint clearly?

The amount of detail you can see in the fingerprint varies from person to person. With factors such as age and genetics, being the main factors contributing to this. The moulding compound we use is able to pick up very detailed impressions. If you can see lines in the compound when you have taken the prints, then these will be visible on the jewellery. If you have taken a print and we do not think that it is good enough (maybe your child is too young and no clearly defined lines can be seen yet) then we will suggest something from the little hands and feet range instead.

The Process:

Once your order has been placed, we will send you any necessary impression kits (with full instructions) and confirmation of your order within 48hrs.

If you have ordered from our “LittlePictures” range, then please either email or send by post a copy of the drawing to be used (please do not send the original). Simple line drawings work the best. However, if you have a painting that you would like us to use, please send us a copy to look at before ordering.

Once we have received the prints or drawing, we will then process your order. Your finished piece of jewellery will be sent via AustraliaPost, within four weeks or receipt of the prints/drawing.

If you have any queries then please send us an email.
